Weather Update

Greetings, fabulous Fiji! It’s that time of the day when we check in with Mother Nature and see what she has in store for us. Hold on to your sun hats because we’ve got some interesting developments on the horizon.

A Coastal Inundation Alert has been issued! Yes, you heard that right—if you’re enjoying a beachfront view in Sigatoka (including the ever-popular Coral Coast), Serua/Namosi, the charming Mamanuca group (yes, Malolo, we’re looking at you), as well as Kadavu, Lau, and the Lomaiviti groups, brace yourselves. High tides are expected to be a little too friendly with the land, so keep your feet dry and your flip-flops ready!

Now onto the fun stuff—what’s the forecast looking like? For the coastal areas of our lovely Sigatoka and its friends, expect some sea flooding during those high tides. But fear not! It’ll mostly be fine with just a few brief showers wanting to join the party in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, and the nearby islands. The rest of us can bask in the glory of mainly fine conditions! Nights are set to be pleasantly cool—perfect for snuggling up or pretending you’re in a romantic movie scene.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for a similar vibe: mostly fine with a few quick showers trying to crash the gathering in the same areas. But hey, who doesn’t like a little light rain to keep things exciting?

For our friends in Navua, Suva, and Nausori—expect similar weather shenanigans: fine and cool nights, with a chance of a mild sprinkle. Sigatoka/Coral Coast also gets to enjoy mainly fine weather, but remember, high tide might just take that unexpected dip into your beach picnic.

The delightful Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba regions are set for mainly fine weather as well. Cool nights might just inspire some star-gazing or a credible attempt at karaoke under the moonlight—totally your call!

Heading over to Tavua and Rakiraki, weather is looking great aside from those brief showers over Ra. Keep your umbrellas at the ready, but don’t worry, they’re really just there for show.

For our friends in Yasawa and the Mamanuca group, it’s back to our watery friends wanting to make themselves at home during high tides. Otherwise, expect a mostly delightful day ahead.

Labasa, Savusavu, and those in Lau and Lomaiviti—you’ll be experiencing mainly fine weather with cool nights. Perfect conditions for plotting your next big adventure or just lounging around doing absolutely nothing—both are legitimate choices!

And for the thrill-seekers over at Rotuma, beware! A strong wind warning is in effect, with gusty winds and a chance of thunderstorms. Always a great time to stay indoors with a good book and a cup of coconut water!

To wrap up, no matter where you are, it looks like we’re in for a mixed bag, so enjoy whichever weather moods decide to pop by! Stay safe, stay dry (if you can), and embrace the beautiful chaos that is our weather!
