The Ba Muslim team, sponsored by Ahmed & Syndicate, is set to compete in the much-anticipated 2025 FMSA Tebara Halal Meats Muslim Inter-District Championship (IDC), beginning tomorrow at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. Fans can look forward to a vibrant atmosphere with free entry, as the tournament aims to celebrate community spirit through high-energy football matches.

In recent years, Ba Muslim has established itself as a formidable force in the IDC, reaching the finals in both the 2023 and 2024 tournaments. Despite a tough loss to Nadi in 2023, where all three of Nadi’s goals were scored by Mohammed Shafin in the first half of a 1-3 defeat, the team rebounded in 2024, demonstrating resilience and a strong commitment to the sport.

Ba Muslim Secretary Ifraz Ali expressed confidence in the team’s preparations and the unity among the players as they head into this year’s tournament. “We are prepared for the upcoming tournament and look forward to showcasing our talent and teamwork,” he stated. “May the best team win, and we wish all other teams the best as we continue to promote brotherhood in this special tournament.”

In a notable development, Ba Muslim is also expanding its involvement in sports by fielding a volleyball team, sponsored by Vishal’s IT Solution. This diversification reflects the organization’s commitment to holistic sportsmanship and engaging with the community on multiple fronts.

The tournament promises not just competitive football, but also an opportunity to strengthen community bonds and celebrate athleticism. As the matches unfold, local fans will be rallying behind their teams, fostering a sense of camaraderie and support pivotal for community spirit in Fijian sports culture.
