Australia secured the Over 50s championship at the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup in Sydney, triumphing over Viti Boys Canada with a score of 1-0 in a thrilling final. Vinesh Kumar scored the decisive goal for Australia in the second half.
Kumar also received the prestigious Golden Ball Award for his outstanding performance, while Australian goalkeeper Manoj Kumar was honored with the Golden Glove. Jitendra Nair from Viti Boys Canada earned the Golden Boot after scoring five goals throughout the tournament.
In other results, NZ Lautoka claimed the Over 45 title by defeating NZ Nadroga with a score of 3-1.
