The Fiji Bureau of Statistics has announced the appointment of Apisalome Tamani as the Acting Chief Executive, starting from February 4, 2026. Tamani, who is currently serving as Deputy Government Statistician, will take on this role until a permanent successor is appointed.

He succeeds Kemueli Naiqama, who has been recognized for his effective leadership during his time in office. Following his tenure, Naiqama has been appointed as Fiji’s Ambassador to Japan, and the Bureau has conveyed its best wishes for his future endeavors.

The Bureau expresses optimism about Tamani’s capability to enhance and fortify Fiji’s national statistical system in this transitional period. His experience and leadership are expected to make a positive impact as the organization navigates through upcoming challenges.
