Aleeza Raza, a defender for Digicel Fiji Future Kulas, was awarded Player of the Match after Fiji’s narrow 1-0 victory over Solomon Islands in the 5th/6th place playoff at the OFC U-16 Women’s Championship held at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
The 15-year-old, who was born in Sydney to parents from Labasa, demonstrated exceptional grit and determination throughout all four matches of the tournament.
Her family, present in the stands to support her, felt immense pride as they watched her make crucial plays that contributed to Fiji securing a fifth-place finish in the competition.
