17-year-old Digicel Fiji Junior Bula Boys attacker Ibraheem Afazal earned the Player of the Match Award following an impressive performance against Vanuatu at the OFC U-19 Men’s Championship in Samoa.
Afazal, who plays for APIA Leichhardt club in Sydney, Australia, scored two goals and set up Fiji’s other goals, helping the team secure a 6-1 victory over Vanuatu and advance to the semifinals.
The young talent has been a reliable performer for the Marika Rodu-coached team, and his partnership with Captain Penisoni Tirau in attack has significantly enhanced Fiji’s scoring capabilities in the competition.
