The Tavua football team has achieved promotion to the Digicel Premier League for the 2025 season. They triumphed over Bua with a score of 3-1 in the second leg of the playoff after suffering a 1-0 defeat in the first leg held in Bua.
Playing at home in Garvey Park, Tavua demonstrated their strength, with Vilitati Kautoga scoring the opening goal. Shortly after, Manasa Nawakula extended their lead, and Ratu Nalewadonu sealed the victory with a third goal, leaving Bua without a chance for recovery. This decisive win has secured Tavua’s position in the top division for the upcoming season.
