Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa recently unveiled its newest addition to the beverage selection: LARK Whisky, in collaboration with the Motibhai Group of Companies. This marks a significant first for the island nation, bringing a taste of Tasmania’s renowned whisky culture to Fiji.

Stewart Graham from LARK expressed his excitement about the introduction of their whisky to Fiji, highlighting the unique Tasmanian climate that contributes to the distinctive quality of their spirits. “Sharing these expressions with such an engaged and curious audience at 17.78 Whisky Bar has been truly special. We look forward to building a long-term connection with Fiji’s growing community of whisky enthusiasts,” Mr. Graham stated during the launch event held at the resort’s dedicated whisky bar earlier this month.

The event was not just a simple launch; it featured an engaging whisky tasting session tailored for 29 guests. Participants explored the various tasting notes and the craftsmanship behind LARK’s offerings, complemented by a selection of light bites crafted by the resort’s culinary team to enhance the whisky experience. General Manager Sudhir Yadav emphasized the resort’s commitment to delivering exceptional beverage experiences and celebrated this partnership as a milestone for premium spirits in Fiji.

Nilesh Patel, director of the Motibhai Group of Companies, also remarked on the importance of this collaboration. He noted that partnering with LARK aligns with their goal of enriching Fiji’s beverage scene by introducing high-quality, globally recognized brands. “We are delighted to collaborate with Crowne Plaza Fiji to deliver this exclusive launch experience and introduce LARK Whisky to the Fiji market,” Mr. Patel added.

LARK Distilling Co., founded in 1992 by Bill and Lyn Lark, is recognized as Tasmania’s first licensed distillery in over 150 years and played a pivotal role in Australia’s single malt revival. Their commitment to crafting whisky from Tasmanian peat and utilizing the island’s pristine natural resources has made them a cornerstone of quality in the whisky market.

With the introduction of LARK Whisky, Fiji is poised to enhance its reputation as a destination for whisky enthusiasts and elevate its culinary offerings in the process. This partnership signals a growing interest in premium spirits within the region, promising a future rich in unique tasting experiences for locals and visitors alike.
