Weather Forecast Update

Good morning, everyone! It’s 5:30 am on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, and it seems Mother Nature has cranked the wind machines up to 11, especially for our friends in Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu, Taveuni, Yasawa, and some coastal areas. Strap on your hats, because a strong wind warning is in play for these regions. Just a friendly reminder to keep an extra grip on your umbrellas—unless you want them to take a spontaneous vacation!

What’s blowing our way today? Well, we’ve got some southeast winds ready to party with speeds zipping up to 45 km/hr over many of our favorite island hangouts. If you’ve been planning a picnic, you might want to rethink those outdoor plans. The winds are also bringing along some cloudy periods and showers, especially in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu, and Taveuni. So, it might be more of a “shelf your picnic basket” kind of day—unless you prefer dancing in the rain!

For the lucky folks in Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, your days are looking fine with just a sprinkle of coolness at night. Consider this your green light to bask in the sunshine and limit the rain dance moves.

Heading to Coral Coast or Sigatoka? Expect some clouds throwing showers your way but don’t fret too much—sunny weather is still crashing the party elsewhere!

In Tavua and Rakiraki, southeast winds will also be packing a punch at up to 45 km/hr, so you might get a bit of a breeze testing your hairdos. Expect some clouds, with showers tossing occasional confetti in your plans, while cooler nights set the perfect ambiance.

For Natadradave and Korovou, same dance; shower here, shower there, but still cool at night. Yasawa and the Mamanuca group will be in for a breezy ride as well, keeping things mainly fine with just a hint of evening coolness.

Labasa is basking in fine weather glory with some spectacular cool nights, while Savusavu is experiencing the classic mix of clouds and showers, just to keep you on your toes.

Rotuma, you’re clearly in on the action too, as strong winds take charge! Expect some thrilling gusts, maybe even playing a little football with your laundry, along with those anticipated showers and thunderstorms.

And for the outlook tomorrow, hold onto your hats again! Expect similar breezy conditions and some cloudy periods, but overall, it might be just fine. So, whatever you decide to do today, whether it’s braving the elements or cozying up indoors, stay safe and keep smiling!
