Sky Pacific Secures Exclusive 2026-2028 Super Rugby Pacific Rights for Fiji Fans

Sky Pacific, the pay television platform, has announced that it has acquired the exclusive television rights to broadcast all matches in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition for the upcoming 2026-2028 seasons. This significant deal will ensure that fans in Fiji and across the Pacific will have access to every match of the tournament.

The announcement was made by the Fijian Drua at the Tanoa Plaza in Suva, representing the rights holders of the competition. Under this partnership, Sky Pacific will provide live coverage of all 83 Super Rugby Pacific matches to its subscribers, which includes 77 round-robin matches, three qualifying finals, two semi-finals, and the grand final.

Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans expressed his excitement about the renewal, stating it was “great news.” He praised Sky Pacific’s commitment to supporting sports in the region, highlighting their longstanding partnership. “We’re delighted to be renewing with them; they’re a terrific company to work with. They genuinely have a track record of believing in and supporting the sport in this part of the world,” Evans said.

Farid Mohammed, the chief executive of Digicel Fiji, which operates Sky Pacific, also commented on the renewal, calling it a milestone in both companies’ histories. He noted that Super Rugby has been a central part of their service for many years, and he reaffirmed its importance as one of their flagship offerings in the sports segment.

As the region looks forward to an exciting season, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will kick off their home games with a match against Moana Pasifika at Churchill Park in Lautoka, scheduled for Saturday, February 14, at 3:30 PM. This renewal represents a promising future for Super Rugby in the Pacific, enhancing the viewing experience for dedicated rugby fans.
