The event holds additional significance for the trio, as they will compete together, showcasing their athletic talents on an international stage.

All three siblings have dedicated themselves to rigorous training, with Theola and Thaddeus set to compete in swimming, Aquathlon, and the Triathlon Relay. Their older sister, 18-year-old Charis, will showcase her skills in the Sprint Triathlon and also join them in the Triathlon Relay. “I’m super happy and excited I get to go and represent my country alongside two of my favourite people, my siblings,” Charis expressed.

The familial bond shared by the Kwong siblings adds a unique layer of support, making the demanding travel and competitive environment a little less daunting. Their commitment is evident in their training regimen, which includes early morning swim sessions and consistent gym workouts.

This will be a significant milestone not only for the siblings but also for Fiji’s sporting community, which continues to flourish. The investment in young athletes resonates across the nation, as many strive for excellence while balancing academic commitments. Their journey emphasizes the dedication and resilience that characterize Fiji’s representation at international competitions.
