Si Woo Kim has reportedly turned down an offer to join the LIV Golf League, reaffirming his commitment to the PGA Tour. The news comes after Tom Hobbs of Flushing It Golf initially reported that the four-time PGA Tour winner was in “late stage negotiations” with the controversial league. However, subsequent reports indicate that Kim has chosen to stay with the PGA Tour.

According to South Korea’s Maeil Business Newspaper, a representative from Kim’s team confirmed the decision, stating, “It is true that Kim Si-woo, like many Korean players, has been offered a recruitment. However, Kim Si-woo finally expressed his intention to refuse and decided to remain on the PGA Tour.”

Currently ranked No. 47 in the Official World Golf Ranking, Kim has had a successful year with three top-10 finishes in 2025. His choice to remain with the PGA Tour signifies a commitment to the traditional golf landscape, particularly notable given that he would have been one of LIV Golf’s most significant additions following the recruiting of star players like Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton ahead of the 2024 season.

Kim’s achievements on the PGA Tour include victories at prestigious tournaments such as the Wyndham Championship (2016), The Players Championship (2017), The American Express (2021), and the Sony Open in Hawaii (2023). His dedication to the PGA Tour may inspire other players who are contemplating their options within the evolving landscape of professional golf, promoting a sense of camaraderie and tradition within the sport.
