Ladies and gentlemen, grab your umbrellas and hold onto your hats, because we’re in for some wild weather out there!
A STRONG WIND WARNING is still waving its flag for the thrilling locations of Yasawa, Lau, Lomaiviti Group, Kadavu, and their tiny island buddies. If you were thinking of a leisurely stroll, you might want to reconsider unless your idea of fun includes a private wind tunnel experience!
The whole of Fiji is under a HEAVY RAIN WARNING – and no, this isn’t just a dramatic plot twist from your favorite soap opera; it’s real life! Tropical Cyclone Rae, even though it’s currently swaying away from us like it’s got better things to do, has left an active trough of low pressure lingering like a houseguest that just won’t leave. Expect those robust winds to keep shaking things up!
Forecast until midnight tomorrow for our sensational Fiji group:
– For our favorite characters—Yasawa, Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu, and the nearby tiny islands: Brace yourselves for some feisty northwesterly winds gusting up to a whopping 80km/hr! Rain will be slipping in and out with occasional thunderstorms trying to steal the spotlight. Don’t be shocked if you get a little splashed—it’s nature’s way of saying “hello!” Rain should clear by tomorrow.
– For the rest of the Fiji group: Expect the same rain drama—heavy at times, with some thunderstorms just to keep things exciting. Winds will be moderate to fresh, and yes, the seas will be behaving a bit like a rollercoaster. It wouldn’t hurt to hold onto your snacks! Rain taking a bow tomorrow.
– Our friends in Navua, Suva, and Nausori: This trio can expect some rain with thunder looking to crash the party. There’s a silver lining—rain is expected to clear up by tomorrow. Prepare yourselves for a fine morning on Thursday, but watch out for the afternoon shower sneak attack!
– In Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba: Rain will join the festivities too. And just like a late-night talk show guest, it’ll clear out by tomorrow!
– Sigatoka and Coral Coast: Yep, same story here with rain crashing the scene but expected to make an early exit tomorrow.
– For the folks in Tavua and Rakiraki: Just like the others, you’ll see some heavy rain around. Tomorrow’s forecast looks slightly more promising with a fine morning before the skies get moody in the afternoon.
– Yasawa and Mamanuca group: Our tempestuous winds will make quite the entrance, and rain joins the action. Things should calm down starting tomorrow.
– Labasa and Savusavu: Rain, heavy at times and a bit of thunder to spice things up! Expect clearer skies tomorrow.
– Lau and Lomaiviti: Strong winds and showers are your companions. Rain is expected to clear up, just like a magician’s trick!
– Kadavu: Prepare for the winds and rain to be your constant partners, with a promise of clear skies from tomorrow.
– For our buddies in Rotuma: Cloud cover and some showers hovering around. The winds are feeling moderately breezy, so hang onto those hats! Expect cloudy periods on Thursday because the rain likes to stick around.
That’s the wrap on your weather forecast! Stay dry, stay safe, and don’t let the rain get you down—after all, it’s just nature’s way of reminding us who’s really in charge!
