Sanjana Devi Lal appointed as Acting Permanent Secretary: Details Inside

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has appointed Sanjana Devi Lal as the Acting Permanent Secretary for Fisheries and Forestry, in accordance with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s agreement.

Lal succeeds Rovereto Nayacalevu, the former Acting PS, who resigned last month to become the Chief Executive of the Fiji Rugby Union.

PSC Chairman Luke Rokovada highlighted that Lal has nearly 30 years of experience in the Civil Service and has served as Conservator of Forests since March 2017.

“She has the qualifications, knowledge, and experience to assume the role, and I am confident she will perform the duties required of her as the Acting Permanent Secretary for Fisheries and Forestry,” Rokovada stated.

Lal holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Forestry from the Australian National University and a Postgraduate Degree in Science.
