Ibraheem Afazal, a 17-year-old attacker for the Digicel Fiji Junior Bula Boys, was named Player of the Match after delivering an exceptional performance against Vanuatu at the OFC U-19 Men’s Championship in Samoa.
Afazal, who plays for APIA Leichhardt club in Sydney, Australia, scored twice and assisted in the other goals that led to Fiji’s 6-1 victory over Vanuatu, securing a spot in the semifinals.
The young talent has consistently excelled for Marika Rodu’s squad, and his forward partnership with Captain Penisoni Tirau enhances Fiji’s scoring capabilities in the competition.
