Two men are set to appear in the Magistrates Court in Labasa today, facing charges related to two separate incidents of obtaining financial advantage by deception.
In the first incident, a 24-year-old man is accused of withdrawing $957 from the victim’s account on 10 October 2022. The victim discovered the transaction after noticing that the money had been transferred to an unfamiliar number and subsequently used by the accused. The case was reported at the Labasa Police Station.
The second case involves another 24-year-old man from Bulileka, who allegedly transferred $389 from the victim without consent. The victim later reported the incident at the Valelevu Police Station.
