Fiji’s renowned Rosie Travel Group received significant recognition as its Rosie Events Division was inducted into the Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards (FETA) Hall of Fame on Monday. This honor is bestowed upon companies that have consistently triumphed in their award category for three consecutive years. Rosie Events was celebrated as the C&I (Conference & Incentive) Operator of the Year.
Brigid Whitton, creative director and co-owner of Rosie Events, expressed her gratitude for this achievement, highlighting how the division has evolved from a modest operation into a leading force in organizing conferences and special events. Whitton stated, “With every event or celebration, we ask: What is the story? What part of Fiji’s soul are we bringing forward?” She emphasizes their commitment to showcasing Fiji’s culture and heritage through immersive experiences.
Rosie Travel Group has made history as the only tourism company with three brands—Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Rosie Holidays, and Rosie Events—inducted into the Hall of Fame. Managing Director Tony Whitton acknowledged the dedication of their team, stating that these accolades reflect a commitment to excellence in providing exceptional guest experiences.
Building on this success, Rosie Events significantly contributed to Fiji’s economy in 2024, generating over $13 million and managing more than 300 international events. These achievements underscore the growing importance of the conference and incentive tourism sector to the nation’s economy.
The continued success and recognition of Rosie Travel Group are promising for Fiji’s tourism landscape. The commitment to cultural storytelling and innovative event experiences positions them as leaders in the industry, inspiring a hopeful future for tourism in Fiji. The involvement of organizations like Fiji Airways also highlights the support for sustainable tourism practices, ensuring that Fiji remains an attractive destination for travelers seeking unique experiences.
