Skipper Select captain Sakiusa Vosayaco expressed pride in his team’s dedication despite facing a significant defeat against the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in their pre-season match at Churchill Park in Lautoka. After the game, Vosayaco noted that the experience served as a crucial learning opportunity for himself and his teammates as they gear up for the upcoming Skipper Cup competition.

Despite the loss, Vosayaco emphasized that the team left everything on the field and acknowledged the Drua’s superiority on the day. He believes the lessons learned will be instrumental in their preparation for future matches. “We really gave our best today, but the Fijian Drua was the better team, so we’ll go back and improve from here,” he remarked.

This pre-season clash provided the Skipper Select squad with essential insights, and Vosayaco is optimistic about their growth stemming from this encounter. The team is committed to using this experience as a stepping stone for their performance in the forthcoming competition.

As of now, the dates for the Skipper Cup competition are yet to be announced, but the focus remains on improving and building a stronger team in the lead-up to the tournament.
