The National Federation Party (NFP) has reported a financial operating profit of $35,036 for the year ending December 31, 2024. These figures were disclosed in the party’s audited financial accounts submitted to the Fijian Elections Office on March 26.
For the 2024 financial year, NFP received a total income of $387,080, comprising $61,042 in donations and $325,000 for parliamentary office resourcing. The party’s expenditures amounted to $352,044, which included significant allocations of $119,497 for salaries, $60,319 for meetings and campaigns, and $37,970 for volunteers’ expenses.
At the time the financial accounts were submitted, the NFP had $122,236 across three bank accounts and possessed property, plant, and equipment valued at $684,375. Parliament and party executives, including President Parmod Chand, General Secretary Kamal Iyer, and Treasurer Chandrakant Lodhia, are leading the organization as it continues its commitment to its foundational values and national interests.
This financial report follows the recent re-election of NFP’s leadership at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Sigatoka, marking the first gathering in this location in 25 years. President Parmod Chand expressed gratitude to party members while underlining the importance of the NFP’s resilience and adherence to core principles throughout its 61-year history. The dual highlights of financial stability and leadership continuity reflect a positive outlook for the party as it moves into the next phase of its agenda.
With a strong foundation and a committed leadership team, the NFP appears poised not only to maintain its operational integrity but also to ensure its values resonate with the electorate moving forward.
