The Women Invigorating the Nation (WIN) Convention 2026 was officially launched in Suva, showcasing its theme, “Give to Gain: Investing In Women, Transform Our Future.” This annual event, organized by the Women Entrepreneurs Business Council (WEBC) and part of the Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation (FCEF), aims to create a platform for women from diverse backgrounds to connect, network, and engage in essential discussions.

During the launch, FCEF president Eldon Eastgate emphasized the importance of investing in women, stating that such investments benefit everyone in society. He highlighted the pivotal role women play in driving change across various sectors in Fiji, yet acknowledged the barriers that continue to hinder their opportunities, underscoring the significance of this convention.

WEBC chairperson Jyoti Maharaj remarked on the growth of the WIN Convention over the past five years, noting that it has become a vital national forum. The event has successfully brought together women entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers, and partners aimed at creating impactful outcomes that drive both economic and social progress.

Dr. Swartika Nair, chairperson of the WIN Convention 2026 Organizing Committee, shared details about the event scheduled for March 27 and 28. The two-day agenda promises to be filled with dynamic discussions. On the first day, topics will focus on women’s leadership, policy advancements, and access to finance. The second day will shift towards future transformation with discussions on innovation, digital tools, artificial intelligence, and gender-responsive climate action.

The convention has garnered sponsorship from several organizations, including Essity, Merchant Finance, Vodafone Fiji, and Digicel, among others, indicating a strong community commitment to supporting women’s advancement.

As the event approaches, the anticipation builds for what promises to be an inspiring occasion dedicated to empowering women and fostering transformative change within the community.
