Interest Waiver Approved: What This Means for State Lease Lessees

The Cabinet has granted approval for a one-year Waiver of Interest for state lease arrears, effective from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025. During this waiver period, lessees are encouraged to fully settle their rent arrears without the burden of accumulated interest. This marks the fourth instance of such a waiver, following similar measures taken in 2014-2016, 2018, and 2020-2021.
