The Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) is gearing up for its annual member forums, scheduled to take place in Suva, Nadi, and Labasa next month. These forums provide a platform for members to receive updates on the Fund’s performance and key developments for the 2024 financial year, while also facilitating direct interaction with FNPF management.
FNPF Chief Executive Officer Viliame Vodonaivalu stated that these forums are essential for keeping members informed about the Fund’s operations. He emphasized the importance of transparency and how these events offer members the chance to give feedback that can enhance services in the future.
The annual gatherings will focus on educating members about investment strategies, operational changes, and various initiatives designed to bolster their retirement savings. “We want our members to feel confident in their future with FNPF,” Vodonaivalu noted, highlighting the need for members to understand how their investments are being managed.
Every forum will conclude with a Q&A session, allowing members to raise concerns or question the management regarding their accounts and the Fund’s activities. FNPF actively encourages all members to attend their regional forums to stay informed and to engage in discussions regarding their financial future.
Scheduled dates for the forums are:
– Suva: Wednesday, February 11 – 5 PM, at the Grand Pacific Hotel (GPH)
– Nadi: Thursday, February 13 – 5 PM, at the MyFNPF Centre, Nadi
– Labasa: Wednesday, February 19 – 1 PM, at the Labasa Civic Centre
With the FNPF having recently reported remarkable growth in its total assets—from $9.5 billion to $10.6 billion over the past year—the forums will serve to reaffirm their commitment to providing financial security and optimal returns to members.
This proactive approach by FNPF not only aims to foster trust among its members but also to enhance their financial literacy in retirement planning. Looking ahead, the forums will be stepping stones toward ensuring that members are well-equipped to secure a financially stable future.
