The Digicel Fiji Young Kulas faced a difficult challenge in their second match at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, suffering a heavy 0-9 defeat at the hands of a strong Canadian team.

Despite exhibiting determination similar to their previous game against Brazil, Canada’s dominance was apparent as they established a commanding 7-0 lead by halftime.

However, 15-year-old Fijian goalkeeper Aliana Vakaloloma made several remarkable saves, showcasing her talent despite the overwhelming circumstances.

Fiji’s defense, while showing some resilience, was unable to cope with the relentless onslaught from the Canadian forwards.

Looking ahead, the Fiji Young Kulas are set to prepare for their final group stage match against France.
