Resonance Entertainment is preparing for the grand launch of its very first music festival, RESFEST 2025, which aims to highlight and celebrate Fiji’s lively local music scene. Scheduled for June 14, 2025, at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, RESFEST 2025 carries the theme “Our Journey” and will feature 22 local artists, including prominent names like KUKI, InsideOut, Vegas 6, Marama, and Fo Sho.
The festival is not just an entertainment event; it seeks to provide a platform for local musicians who have primarily performed in tourism venues, thereby giving them the exposure they deserve. Managing Director Apakuki Nalawa is enthusiastic about the festival’s potential to enhance local artists’ visibility on both national and international platforms. He highlighted the importance of the event in showcasing Fijian talent that, while well-known in certain circles, remains largely undiscovered by mainstream audiences.
Nalawa expressed a commitment to ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere and delivering a high-quality music experience, despite the challenges of organizing such a large-scale event. Tickets for RESFEST 2025 are available through TicketMax Fiji, with prices ranging from $35 for General Admission to $220 for Premium access.
Interestingly, this festival comes on the heels of a partnership between IHG Hotels, including notable venues like the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, and Resonance Entertainment. This collaboration is geared toward supporting Fiji’s creative industries and amplifying the impact of local music by integrating it into the hospitality experience.
Adding to the festival’s accessibility, it will also be livestreamed on FBC’s Viti+ platform, allowing a broader audience to engage with Fiji’s musical heritage from anywhere.
