The Fiji National Disaster Risk Management Office (NDMO) has announced that 1,518 individuals are currently housed in 58 evacuation centers throughout the country due to recent severe weather conditions. The majority of these evacuees are distributed across the Northern, Eastern, and Central Divisions.

In the Northern Division, 1,202 individuals are taking refuge in 38 centers, while the Eastern Division has 294 evacuees spread across 19 centers. The Central Division is accommodating 22 people in a single center.

The NDMO is prioritizing public safety, working closely with the Fiji Police and other agencies to ensure the security and well-being of evacuees. They are actively providing essential supplies and support, which reflects the unity and collaborative effort of the Fijian community during this challenging time.
