Vuvale Outsourcing, a business based in Fiji, has made a significant contribution by donating $1.5 million worth of brand new children’s clothing to 30 schools across the nation. The initiative kicked off at Ro Camaisala Memorial School in Namosi, marking the first delivery of this substantial gift.

This charitable effort is part of Vuvale Outsourcing’s broader corporate social responsibility program, which it is undertaking in partnership with esteemed Australian retailer Lowes Menswear. Manoa Kamikamica, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, praised Vuvale’s commitment to enhancing investor confidence and positively impacting the Fijian economy. He highlighted that such business partnerships not only create employment opportunities but also foster sustainable growth within the community.

Miles Blok, the founder of Vuvale Outsourcing, emphasized the company’s dedication to supporting local communities beyond mere business interests. He mentioned that the clothing was generously supplied by Lowes Menswear, with Vuvale’s role focused on ensuring its effective distribution to the communities that need it most. The total donations expected from Lowes Menswear to Fiji are projected to surpass $3 million by the end of the year, which will include 26,000 pairs of industrial pants and 15,000 meters of fabric aimed at assisting single mothers impacted by challenges in the garment sector.

The donation package comprises a diverse assortment of children’s clothing, including pants, shorts, T-shirts, formal shirts, sportswear, and raincoats—amounting to 42 pallets in total. This effort addresses the clothing needs of students at the recipient schools.

This initiative signifies a positive trend in corporate social responsibility in Fiji, demonstrating how collaborations between businesses can greatly improve the lives of children and enrich educational experiences. As more such partnerships emerge, they create a hopeful narrative around community development and economic support in the region.
