The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team is focused on transforming their impressive performances into victories as they prepare for the Perth 7s tournament today. Coach Richard Walker is optimistic that the key to achieving success lies in consistently finishing on the right side of the scoreboard.

Walker has pointed out that while there are still areas that require enhancement, he is confident in the team’s ability to convert their strong showings into wins. He expressed satisfaction with the team’s recent performances, particularly in Dubai and Cape Town, and praised the players for their hard work.

“After going back and reviewing the games on film, I actually thought the girls played some really, really good rugby, which is encouraging,” said Walker. He emphasized that their offensive strategy and overall structure demonstrated significant promise that they can build upon.

He acknowledged that, despite a few setbacks in terms of scores, the quality of their play hints at the potential for growth. “Obviously, in a couple of games, the score didn’t go our way, so you could feel differently about how you feel with the team. But going back and having a look, man, we played some really good rugby.”

With a clearer understanding of their strengths and areas for improvement, the Fijiana team is now focused on translating their moments of brilliance into consistent victories at the tournament. This determination sets a hopeful tone as they aim to capitalize on their developing skills and recent experiences.
