Currently, we have a weak trough of low pressure playing peekaboo with the country—it’s like trying to hide and seek but with clouds! Meanwhile, our old friends, the east to northeast winds, are kicking back over the Fiji group, keeping everything feeling breezy.
So, what’s on the menu for the weather until midnight tomorrow? Expect some cloud cover, along with showers giving a cozy, wet hug to Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Eastern Macuata, Cakaudrove, the Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and the smaller nearby islands. Taveuni, Qamea, and Cikobia—you’re getting in on the action too! For those living in other parts, a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of a couple of isolated showers is calling your name for the afternoon or evening.
There’s a small chance of some thunderstorms over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, but let’s hope those clouds just want to gossip instead of throw lightning tantrums!
As for the winds—think of them as moderate companions with a knack for shifting. They’ll start to waltz into the east to southeasterly direction tomorrow. And don’t forget, the seas are reasonably moderate, so if you’re planning to take a dip, don’t forget your floaties!
