Weather Update for your Daily Dose of Sunshine (or Rain)
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi

Situation: We’ve got a playful wind flow prancing around from the northeast to the northwest over our lovely islands. It’s like the weather is trying out different dance styles!
Forecast till midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Today: We’re kicking off with some cloudy periods mixed with brief showers over Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, Macuata, Yasawa, and our ever-so-charming Mamanuca group. But don’t pack away your hats just yet! Expect a mix of fine spells, with just a sprinkle of isolated afternoon or evening showers and some dramatic thunderstorms (think Mother Nature auditioning for a soap opera). Now, Sigatoka-Korolevu, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, southern Bua, and Cakaudrove will have a slightly finer day, apart from those pesky afternoon or evening dramas. Most other places are set to bask in the glorious sun.
Tomorrow: We’re keeping it mainly fine with some warm smiles across the land. However, be alert in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu for those cheeky isolated afternoon or evening showers and possible thunderstorms. Watch out; isolated heavy downpours might crash the party with a bit of thunderous flair! Winds will begin as moderate north to northeasterly, then the sea breeze will show up fashionably late as southeasterlies take over. The seas are moderate too – not too wild, but don’t forget your floaties!
Outlook for Friday: Expect cloudy periods with scattered showers over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Kadavu, Taveuni, and the ever-fetching smaller islands in Lau and Lomaiviti. Feel free to bring your sunglasses elsewhere, apart from those same afternoon or evening shower interruptions. We might see heavy falls trying to gatecrash the sunny duo as well, but don’t fret! Southeasterly winds will keep things breezy.
