Weather Update
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at the crack of dawn on this fine Saturday morning, February 14, 2026.

So, here’s the scoop: there’s a mischievous little trough of low pressure hanging out to the west of Fiji, bringing with it a rather moody cloud cover and some spontaneous showers in various parts of the islands. Consider it a surprise party from Mother Nature!

As we saunter through the day, expect brief showers over the northern nooks of Viti Levu (hello, Ba-Tavua-Ra-Rakiraki!), and also keeping company in Northern Bua, Macuata, Lau, and the Lomaiviti group. Meanwhile, the rest of us might enjoy some sunshine with a chance of afternoon or evening shenanigans in the form of thunderstorms. Gotta keep it exciting, right?

The winds are blowing gently from the north to northwest, so a light breeze might just ruffle your hair as you enjoy the warm day ahead. Moderate seas will keep our seafarers on their toes, while for the rest of us land lovers, it’s a mixed bag of weather.

Now, let’s break it down for some specific areas:

For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Expect some sunshine with a sprinkle of afternoon or evening showers and a possible thunderstorm whispering in the distance. Minimum temp is a cozy 25°C, and it might peek at a warm 33°C today.

In Sigatoka and the Coral Coast: You too will enjoy some sunny moments, only to have Mother Nature tease you with afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms. You’ll be looking at similar temp readings as Navua.

Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Brief showers in Ba, but most of you elsewhere will bask in the sun until the evening, when the thunderstorms might join the party. Minimum temperature sits at 25°C with a max of 32°C.

For our lovely Yasawa and Mamanuca group: Your sun will shine until the usual afternoon/ evening melodrama takes the stage. Temperature ranges from 25°C to a sizzling maximum of 33°C.

Labasa, Taveuni, and Nabouwalu: Short-lived showers will grace your areas. Temperatures here also hover around that delightful 25°C low and up to 33°C high.

And let’s not forget about Rotuma, where our low-pressure friend seems to be challenging you with cloud cover, showers, and maybe even some unexpected thunderous applause. Temperatures will stick to a minimum of 25°C and max of 33°C.

As we look forward to tomorrow, most places will revel in fine weather, with just the occasional shower trying to crash the party. So grab your sunglasses, and perhaps an umbrella just in case, because some afternoon or evening thunderstorms are still planning to show up uninvited.

Stay fabulous and enjoy your day, Fiji!
