Fiji Soars: Historic Open Skies Agreement with the USA Approved!

The Cabinet has approved an Air Transport Agreement between the United States and the Government of Fiji, establishing a bilateral open skies arrangement. This marks Fiji’s first such agreement, developed in consultation with Fiji Airways. Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica stated that the Agreement aligns with the recent liberalization of Fiji’s Aviation Policy, which permits the assessment of potential bilateral and multilateral open skies arrangements based on individual cases. This approach aims to ensure the viability of flight routes while supporting trade, investment, and the sustainability of Fiji’s tourism sector.
