Attorney-General Graham Leung will head Fiji’s delegation to Geneva, Switzerland for an interactive dialogue regarding Fiji’s State Report at the 48th session of the Universal Periodic Review Working Group scheduled for January 2025. This follows the Cabinet’s approval for the submission of Fiji’s State Report to the Universal Working Group Secretariat.

The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process, led by the UPR Working Group, involves a review of each member state’s human rights record every four to five years. Fiji’s last review by the UPR Working Group occurred in November 2019. The upcoming review will mark Fiji’s fourth evaluation under this UPR mechanism.
