Netball Fiji is gearing up to host an exciting men’s Invitational tournament from August 4 to 7, featuring teams from Fiji, New Zealand, and Tonga. This event is part of Fiji’s strategic efforts to elevate the profile of men’s netball in the region.
Head coach Jioweli Vakamoce shared that the team has been rigorously preparing, completing a full ten-week training program leading up to this tournament. “In the last two weeks, we entered Phase three of our training, and we have two more weeks to fine-tune our skills before the international competition,” he stated. The coach emphasized that the recently completed assessment and selection process has resulted in a well-rounded final squad of twelve players, including five debutants: shooters Waisale Lasekula and Charlie Hoyte, centre Eroni Manu, and defenders Semesa Wainidroa and Anasa Waqa.
