Fiji Kulas Kick Off 2025 Training with Exciting New Addition!

New Zealand’s Ka’iulani Scott has been chosen as the sole overseas player in the Fiji Kulas’ inaugural training squad for 2025. The 23-member team will gather at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba from February 3 to 7. This marks the beginning of a rigorous training program aimed at preparing for important upcoming tournaments, including the OFC Women’s Nations Cup and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 Oceania Qualifiers.

This training camp is the first of five scheduled throughout the year, focusing on enhancing player skills, fostering teamwork, and developing strategic tactics for the challenges ahead. Training sessions will emphasize tactical development, physical conditioning, and teamwork, which are crucial for solidifying the players’ capabilities on the field.

An exciting feature of this camp will be a friendly match against the Maori Women’s National Team on February 6. This match will offer the players invaluable early-season experience that could prove beneficial as they ramp up their preparation.

The Fiji Kulas assembly includes distinguished players such as Elesi Tabunase, Sisilia Kuladina, Sereana Naweni, and others, showcasing a blend of emerging talents and experienced athletes. The inclusion of Ka’iulani Scott highlights Fiji’s commitment to improving its women’s football program, signaling a positive step towards building a competitive team on the international stage.

This initiative not only enhances the team’s competitiveness but also serves as an inspiration for aspiring female athletes within the region, as it opens doors for greater opportunities in women’s football. With a structured approach and the collaboration of both local and overseas talent, the Fiji Kulas appear poised for significant achievements in the upcoming year.

In summary, this first training camp represents an encouraging development for women’s football in Fiji, aiming to inspire future generations of athletes while actively preparing to make their mark on the global platform.
