Melania Tora from Miss Tents & Awning PTE Limited has been named the ‘Queen’ at the 2024 Miss Hibiscus Festival. In her acceptance speech, Tora expressed her commitment to using her title to serve the Fijian community.
The 24-year-old expressed gratitude towards her family for their unwavering support and acknowledged her sponsors, Tents & Awnings Limited. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in psychology at the University of the South Pacific.
Tora previously graduated with distinction, earning a Bachelor of Arts and Psychology from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Arts and Psychology from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Her academic accomplishments and passion for psychology have set her on a trajectory toward becoming a clinical psychologist.
During the event, Pepe Malani, representing Miss Fiji Fashion Week, was awarded the title of second runner-up, while Miss Island Accommodation Martina Sigrah claimed the first runner-up position.
