A trough of low pressure is set to impact the Fiji group starting later today. According to the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, a southeast wind flow is currently prevailing over the region.

As of midnight tonight, the forecast predicts cloudy conditions accompanied by showers in areas including Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori-Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ra, eastern Macuata, southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu, Lau, and the Lomaiviti groups. While generally fine weather is expected, there may be afternoon or evening showers.

Isolated thunderstorms are also anticipated later today, with showers expected to become more frequent across many areas. Winds will be moderate to fresh from the southeast, and sea conditions may range from moderate to rough.
