The Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources, Filimoni Vosarogo, has officially appointed new members to the Valuers Registration Board, with their two-year term commencing immediately. This Board, established under the Valuers Registration Act of 1986, plays a key role in overseeing Fiji’s valuation sector, ensuring that services are not only legal but also adhere to professional standards and fairness.
The new Board members include Chair Farzana Khan, along with members Paula Raqeukai, Joseva Dulakiverata, and Malvin Anand, while Meredani Tuitubou will serve as the Registrar and Secretary. The Ministry has highlighted that the composition of the Board reflects a balanced expertise from both public and private sectors, with a total of three representatives from the public sector and two from the private sector.
The Board’s primary objectives will involve maintaining an official register of valuers and fostering ethical practices within the industry. Minister Vosarogo expressed gratitude to outgoing members Ema Natadra and former Registrar Bhawana Singh for their dedicated service. The Board remains committed to collaborating with stakeholders to uphold public trust and contribute to national development, positioning itself as a key player in fostering a fair valuation environment in Fiji.
