Fiji Aims for Renewable Energy Boost with New Ethanol Talks

Minister of Multi-Ethnic Affairs and the Sugar Industry, Charan Jeeth Singh, recently met with Mr. Evandro Gussi, CEO of UNICA, the Brazilian Sugarcane Industry and Bioenergy Association, to explore potential collaborations in ethanol production in Fiji. The discussions were centered around significant opportunities that could enhance Fiji’s energy sector and stimulate economic growth. Singh and UNICA examined the potential benefits of implementing a 10% ethanol blend in Fiji, noting that it would not require any infrastructure changes.
