The Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants (FICA) is set to host two workshops this month focused on Evidence-Based Thinking, with renowned academic Professor Keith Houghton facilitating the sessions. This marks the return of Professor Houghton, who successfully conducted a similar workshop last year, highlighting his longstanding relationship with FICA and educational institutions in Fiji.
Given the popularity of the previous workshop, which quickly filled its capacity, FICA is limiting participation to 25 executive-level attendees at each workshop to ensure a valuable experience for all. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their skills in critical areas, such as asking better questions, evaluating evidence, making informed decisions, and assessing the credibility of information sources.
The workshops will take place at Suva’s Holiday Inn on June 18 and at Nadi’s Nalagi Hotel on June 24. This initiative is part of FICA’s ongoing efforts to improve the professional capabilities of executives and decision-makers within the region.
This collaboration not only provides an excellent platform for learning but also reinforces FICA’s commitment to fostering an environment where professionals can thrive, especially in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape. As the demand for enhanced decision-making skills grows, these workshops present a valuable opportunity for attendees to equip themselves with critical thinking tools necessary for future challenges.
