Elderly Woman Faces Drug Charges After Police Raid

A woman in her 60s appeared in Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday, facing charges related to the possession of illegal drugs. She is charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit substances. According to police, a raid carried out by the Lautoka Serious Organised Crime and Intel Unit at her residence on Sunday resulted in the seizure of white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine and dried leaves thought to be marijuana. The case has been scheduled for further mention later today.
