The owner, Ananaiasa Nodrakoro, stated that the blaze began in the electrical meter box and rapidly engulfed their residence within minutes. “We didn’t even have time to save anything,” Mr. Nodrakoro lamented, expressing gratitude for the safety of his family despite the loss of all their belongings including clothing, essential documents, and food.
Neighbors witnessed the scene unfold, reporting heavy smoke and the family’s urgent cries for help as they escaped to safety. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the emotional impact, especially on the children, has been profound. Many family members are currently staying with friends and relatives while they seek temporary shelter and assistance.
