Authorities in the Northern Division successfully intercepted a significant quantity of marijuana during a routine traffic stop. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu reported that the operation occurred at the Bagasau roadblock, where officers from the Tukavesi Police Station conducted thorough inspections of the bus’s luggage compartment.

During the search, officers discovered a black bag containing dried leaves, suspected to be marijuana. In a related incident on Monday night, additional checks at Sabeto Road resulted in the seizure of more dried marijuana branches. As a result of these operations, two individuals occupying the vehicle were arrested.

These actions by law enforcement not only reflect their commitment to combating drug-related crimes but also contribute to enhancing community safety. The intercepted delivery emphasizes the ongoing efforts of police to monitor and control illegal substances within the region. Overall, the proactive measures taken by law enforcement can inspire hope for improved public safety and a reduction in drug trafficking activities.
