Extra Bula FC is intensifying its preparations as they gear up for a crucial round 3 match in the OFC Pro League against Vanuatu United, scheduled for tomorrow. Head coach Stéphane Auvray emphasized the team’s focus on disrupting their opponents’ play and improving their finishing skills, a strategy they’ve honed since returning from their second-round match in Papua New Guinea. Following their trip, players took a brief break to reconnect with their families after a lengthy absence.

Auvray stated, “We focused on the last zone of the field which is disrupting the opponent and finishing. Hopefully, we’ll be able to be better in that zone in the next circuit.” He highlighted that while the team has been creating opportunities and maintaining possession, converting those chances into goals remains a key area for improvement.

As Bula FC heads to Melbourne for this vital match, they aim for a definitive victory following mixed results in the earlier rounds of the competition. Competing in the inaugural OFC Pro League, they have faced tough opponents, including Tahiti United, PNG Hekari FC, and Auckland FC. Currently, Bula FC holds a record of one win and two losses as they prepare to take on Vanuatu United.

The match will be particularly significant following their previous encounter, which ended in a 2-2 draw at Eden Park in Auckland last month. Both teams are expected to give their all in this match, with Auvray recognizing the resilience and skill of their opponents, especially under the guidance of head coach Lars Hopp.

Tomorrow’s showdown is set to take place at 2 PM, and all eyes will be on Bula FC as they aim to harness their training focus into a successful performance. With high hopes for improvement, the team is determined to secure a win that could elevate their standing in the tournament.
