Bula FC’s head coach, Stéphane Auvray, remains optimistic about the club’s long-term vision following a 2-0 defeat to Solomon Kings in the OFC Pro League. Despite the loss, Auvray emphasizes that the primary focus is on the development of the team’s younger players, many of whom played significant roles in the match.

The coach highlighted that such experiences are essential for the growth of the emerging talent within the squad. “That’s the idea. We know that they have to play if we want them to grow and learn. They will make mistakes like today,” Auvray stated, underlining a commitment to patience as the young athletes continue to evolve.

Acknowledging the need for time, Auvray commented on the potential he sees within the team. “But at the end of the day, there’s a lot of potential. We have to be patient with them. And obviously, some of them still have to learn a lot,” he mentioned.

There were notable signs of improvement during the latter stages of the game, especially in the final 30 minutes, which Auvray described as “very, very good.” This positive takeaway encourages hope for the team’s progression as they navigate the league.

Bula FC is set to face South Island United next Tuesday, with the match available for live viewing on FBC Sports. The team’s ongoing development journey, although challenged by setbacks, remains a key aspect of their strategy moving forward.
