South African rugby’s Blitzbok 7s team is set to gain a significant boost with the return of speedster Mfundo Ndlovu for the upcoming Cape Town 7s tournament. Ndlovu, a two-time gold medallist in the HSBC SVNS Series and Commonwealth Games, has been brought back into the squad following the injuries to teammates Ryan Oosthuizen and Christie Grobbelaar during the recent Dubai 7s.

In addition to Ndlovu, Zander Reynders is also making a return and could potentially make his debut this weekend, adding fresh talent to the Blitzboks’ lineup. The South African team is gearing up for their first pool match against Ireland on Saturday at 9:44 PM, followed by a challenging face-off against reigning Cape Town 7s champions, Argentina, at 4:41 AM on Sunday morning.

With Ndlovu’s speed and experience, the Blitzboks are well-positioned to aim for gold in front of a home crowd, fueling hopes for a successful tournament. Fans can anticipate an exciting display of talent and resilience from the team as they seek to reclaim their spot at the top of the podium.
