Alphonsus House Reigns Supreme in Thrilling Inter-House Athletics Showdown!

Julius Ah Sing from Alphonsus House clinched the prestigious blue-ribbon title in a fiercely contested 100 meters final during the Marist Brothers High School inter-house competition. He narrowly outpaced former MGM High School sprinter Penaia Ramasirai from Lambert House, showcasing exceptional speed and determination.

Alphonsus House emerged victorious overall, dethroning Claudius House, which had held the championship title for the past three years. The final medal tally for Alphonsus House was impressive, comprising 17 gold, 15 silver, and 15 bronze medals. Claudius House finished second, matching Alphonsus with 17 gold but securing fewer silver (13) and bronze (14) medals. Lambert House claimed third place with 11 gold, 18 silver, and 12 bronze medals, while Augustine House rounded out the competition in fourth place, collecting 7 gold, 6 silver, and 11 bronze medals.

Highlighting the competitive spirit of the event, Brooklyn Bennett from Lambert House demonstrated her athletic prowess by dominating the 200m and 400m events. Overall, Alphonsus House was recognized as the most disciplined house during this two-day competition, which drew over 400 participants and reflected the growing emphasis on inter-house athletics within schools.
