The AuFFI All Stars will maintain the same lineup that secured a 2-1 victory over Navua in their first match of the 2024 Pacific Community Cup. They are set to face the Manukau All Stars tonight in their second Group A match.
Coach Eswa Nadan, affectionately known as “Ninja,” emphasized the significance of team consistency following their opening win. He noted that the players demonstrated solid teamwork, having played together effectively for the first time. The victory has alleviated some pressure, but Nadan insists that each match is treated with the utmost seriousness.
“We will consider incorporating new players as the tournament progresses, but our primary focus right now is to build a cohesive team. Another win would bring us closer to the semifinals,” he stated.
Nadan acknowledged that while Manukau lost their previous game, they are likely to come back stronger. As such, he is preparing his team for a challenging confrontation. The match is set to kick off at 7pm.
This commitment to build on their success while remaining vigilant against their opponents demonstrates the All Stars’ determination to advance in the tournament. The blend of consistency and a tactical approach could lead them to greater achievements in the coming matches.
