A 70-year-old man faces charges of indecently abusing a 12-year-old child and is set to appear in court today at the Navua Magistrates Court.
The alleged incident occurred on the afternoon of August 9, 2024, at the accused’s home, with both the victim and the accused living in the same community.
The matter was reported to the Navua Police by the victim’s uncle.
The accused has been charged with one count of indecent assault under Section 212 (1) of the Crimes Act of 2009.
