Woman Arrested in Major Liquor Raid: What Happened?

A woman has been taken into custody after being accused of selling liquor without a license in Tacirua. Officers from the Valelevu Police Station carried out a raid last night at a shop that was reported to be operating without the necessary permits, seizing over 100 cans and bottles of alcohol. A 24-year-old woman was arrested at the location and is currently in custody while investigations are ongoing. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, stated that illegal liquor sales can contribute to other criminal activities, and enforcement actions aim to disrupt these illegal markets.
