Water supply has been gradually returning in various areas of the Suva-Nausori corridor, including Nakasi, Makoi, Tovata, Tuirara, Nadawa, and Nadera, which is helping residents to resume their daily routines.

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) previously reported that the disruption was due to mechanical issues at the Waila Raw Water Pump Station. This situation significantly affected water output from the Waila Water Treatment Plant and contributed to low water levels in crucial storage facilities, such as the Wainibuku Reservoir.

WAF is actively working to evaluate additional areas where water supply has been restored.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated on the latest developments regarding the water supply situation. This restoration marks a positive step towards ensuring residents’ access to essential water resources, alleviating some of the difficulties faced during the outage.
